Homeless not Hopeless Campaign Event 28/11
On behalf of Vinspired:
My name is Esther Cole and I am a Teamv Leader for Camberwell, doing charitable work for the charity Vinspired.
I am currently running a campaign on tackling youth homelessness and have an event tomorrow called Homeless Not Hopeless, which is an event to raise awareness of youth homelessness, challenge perceptions and give young people resources that can enable them to have a fulfilled and enriched life.
The evening will be full of fun activities, discussions and debates with some live performances.
The event is basically to generate a discussion around this issue and to explore other avenues in which young people can take to better there situation. As a young person myself, being only 23 and having experience of homelessness I don't want this issue of housing to have a negative effect on the lives of young people today - young people who will be our future Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Social Workers etc.
Anyone can become homeless, it might not be today or tomorrow but it could happen and I want young people to know what services are available out there for them just in case they ever find themselves in sticky situations.
Organisation such as Kids Co, Prince's Trust, Cardboard Citizens, St John's Ambulance, and London Bubble will be speaking on the night.
It is a free event for the whole community and we will provide refreshments along with some scrumptious cupcakes that were kindly sponsored to us by EhizzoWorld Events company.
