Have you taken the notes/minutes for a meeting?

Can you offer a few hours about four times/year to support Girlguiding London & South East England? Girlguiding UK is the largest organisation for girls and young women in the UK andLondon & South East England Region, based at Wandsworth Common is looking for several volunteers, each to support one of the following Committees by taking notes/minutes:

  • Executive
  • Marketing & Communications
  • Guiding Development
  • Properties
  • Campsites.

These Comittees support the volunteers delivering our exciting programme to 60,000 members in our Region.

The Executive Committee will need an experienced minute taker, while all other Committees would require a set of notes to reflect the key discussion points and agreed outcomes for action. Each Committee meets
approx. 4 times per year, some on evenings and others at weekends. and all travel expenses for attending meetings would be paid.

  • Skills gained in minute/note taking are transferable into other areas of both work and volunteering.
  • Volunteers would experience working within a well structured organisation with an experience group of volunteers.

Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Ability to listen and accurately record discussion and outcomes at meetings.
  • Reasonable IT skills.
  • Commitment to produce minutes/notes within 5/6 days of the meetings.
