Capital Clean-up funding Now Available!

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, is calling on local communities to join this year’s Capital Clean-up, and help tackle litter, rubbish and graffiti in their local parks, streets, estates, residential areas and waterways.

The Mayor’s Capital Clean-up campaign, in partnership with McDonald’s, is inviting community groups and local businesses to apply for grants of up to £500, or a special litter picking clean-up kit, to bring volunteers together in rubbish clearing events to create cleaner, greener, and safer local environments.

Reminder - Round 7 of Wandsworth Big Society Fund is closing soon!

Deadline for applications is 23 September 2013

The Wandsworth Big Society Fund, is a community grants scheme established by the council in order to 'help communities help themselves'.

The 2013/14 fund which is worth £169,000 is available to support local community groups and grassroots organisations such as residents associations, sports organisations, cultural groups and scouts, clubs and guide troops with a turnover of less than £100k. Applications, together with a local ward council or endorsement, must be received by Monday September 23rd.
