Volunteer with people with Learning Disabilities this Summer!
Kith Kids (a charity that support children and their families with learning disabilities) are currently looking for lots of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers, to join them on their fantastic fun filled Summer Social Development Project.
On the project you and an additional volunteer will be paired with one of our members with a learning disability, where you will support and encourage them in talking part in a wide range of activities such as our Arts and Crafts, video, massage and music workshops. Not only is it a week full of fun and games, for you and our members. You will be a vital part in supporting them to develop their social skills in a day to day environment.
You do not need experience. Full Disability awareness training will be provided before you begin volunteering, the only requirements they ask of you is enthusiasm, energy and to be a bit open-minded.
The project runs from 9:30am - 5:30pm Monday 27th July to Friday 7th August (not Sat/Sun 1st/2nd August)
Training starts Saturday 6th June and Sunday 21st June (you choose which)
