It’s spring time! New Year, new start! Traditionally the time to get your running shoes on, whether that be for a sudden sporty urge or pounding the pavement in search of an exciting new job.
With that in mind Theatre503’s very own Associate Artistic Director Lisa is embarking on her own Mentoring Marathon in support of our upcoming show Animals.
Lisa will be bounding about the Battersea area providing interview and communications training for those individuals and families in the community who are currently unemployed or stuck in low paid work and need help getting their foot in the door!
She has many years of experience in using communication and presentation skills to help both young people and those experiencing homelessness to find work. She will now be working with local community groups Caius House and the In-Work Poverty Project at the Katherine Low Settlement to provide free help to anyone who needs to find a job.
For every £200 raised Lisa will be running another mile of her Mentoring Marathon by taking on another participant and providing them with:
- A CV assessment and advice on job applications
- A place in an in-depth, intensive group session to practice interview skills and communication skills
- Up to three follow-up individual refresher sessions to help the person prepare for specific interviews
Please help us get people into work. Donate now by clicking here. We really appreciate any donation you are able to make.
If you know someone who could benefit and is willing to travel to Battersea to take part, you can nominate them for a free place by emailing email@example.com.
