Volunteering Services Team
A leader in the recruitment and management of volunteers with over ten years experience in the sector. Strengths include strategic planning, service design and implementation, organisational change management, volunteer management, charity governance and statutory funder contract delivery.
Ben leads the direction and strategy of Volunteer Wandsworth / Richmond, and supports the operational staff in their work across the volunteer services.
Ben doesn't have a corporate bone in his body, working and volunteering for various charities and organisations, currently the Chair of Trustees for his local Citizens Advice and senior management roles in The Scout Association. He gives of his time to try and make a difference to the cause. His focus is always about enabling people, especially young people, to achieve their own personal mission and goals, helping them to make it happen.
Chelsey joined Groundwork in 2012 as a volunteer. She worked on a diverse range of projects from The Green Doctor Programme to The Wandsworth Children’s Community and Voluntary Sector Network. Chelsey joined the Volunteering Services in 2013. In her current role as Volunteer Services Administrator, Chelsey ensures the smooth running of the Volunteer Services team by providing additional support to the brokerage coordinators, coordinates finances and managing their internal volunteers.
Outside of work Chelsey is involved in a number of community projects and has been volunteering from a young age. Currently Chelsey in involved ‘The Small Project’ a baby clothes library in South London, The Small Project was set up as a response to seeing the financial difficulties which many families with children are facing.
Chelsey feels passionate about helping people out of poverty and building stronger communities. Giving people the tools to build a better future.
We also have a number of dedicated volunteers that help our staff team run the service.
